Asus has a long history of producing some of the most innovative – and affordable – laptops on the market, and that includes contributing to the flexible world of 2-in-1s. The Zenbook Flip 13 builds on an already established pedigree, with its full 360-degree ErgoLift hinge (for smooth transition from laptop to tablet) and its sleek minimal-bezel design built for at least 20,000 cycles so that’s a lot of comfortable flipping.

Under the hood, the Zenbook Flip 13 boasts an 8th-gen Intel Core processor; and while that’s the most powerful CPU in a regular laptop, it is quite tasty for a tablet. Its bright and clear 13.3” display (with a very responsive touchscreen) does movie streaming and light gaming justice, and its in-built speakers – powered by audio technology from audio specialists Harman Kardon – ensure you’re getting a cinema quality experience with minimal distortion.

It's packed with neat little features for a 2-in-1 at this price point, including an integrated numpad – simple hold down an invisible button found at the corner of the trackpad and it’ll be transformed into an illuminated numpad. Its also super-tough – military-grade tough, to be exact – with an impressive MIL-STD-810G that ensures it can take extreme altitudes, temperatures and humidity.

While its processor might not be the most impressive in terms of specs, every other feature more than makes up for it, including its affordable price and robust design.

There are plenty of tablets that can utilize an external keyboard accessory to turn them into a hybrid machine, but few of them boast the specs and performance of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. Even lower end models in the Tab series – such as the very affordable Tab A – offer plenty of decent specs but with the Tab S7 you’re getting of the best Android tablets money can buy.

Sleek, powerful and with support for the excellent S Pen accessory, the Tab 7 – and its larger and even more powerful sibling, the Tab S7 Plus – offers the power of a PC in mobile form. Connect the device up to a keyboard accessory (which you’ll almost certainly need to purchase separately) you can enjoy 256GB of in-built memory, a decent Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor and a sleek, vibrant 11-inch LTPS TFT display.

Of course, the Tab 7 doesn’t have the processing power of some of the true hybrids in this list as its restricted by the limits of tablet components, but you’d be surprised at just what the S7 can do. You can run practically every game on the Google Play store – including something as demanding as Call of Duty Mobile – as well as the light Adobe programs for sketching and graphic design.
