TERM DEFINITION(S)

Knowledge

1. The subjective and persisted body of experiences and understanding that result from the intake, analysis and interpretation of Data and Information, over a period of time. Knowledge is often thought of as a form of intellectual capital belonging to or derived from an entity, such as a human resource, an enterprise, an organization or a community.

NOTES: A: Knowledge is "not" always factual, as in the cases where people "knew" for generations that the sun revolved around the earth and that the world was flat. B: Knowledge is considered to be constantly evolving, as intake, analysis and interpretation of Data and Information continue. C: Data and Information that have been codified and persisted outside a human brain, such as in a Document or within Multimedia, are also considered to be "Objectified Knowledge".
